Title

For beach property owners and HOAs at risk of flood damage.

A Puget Sound shoreline with elevation contours at 1 foot intervals.

Storm surge at a low tide and low barometric pressure can quickly flow across the lowest shoreline point(s) or area(s). We offer a high-accuracy map of a beach neighborhood with detailed elevation lines (contours) showing low points and areas where surging seawater may flow toward homes and access roads. We can add profile lines to highlight uneven heights of the tops of lawns, berms and any hard armoring. We also provide a water flow direction map to clarify the directions that surge water is expected to flow after a breakthrough. Neighbors can use the map and its data to discuss surge protection improvements.

The image above shows elevation contours (in yellow) at 1 foot intervals. The lower image shows a detailed elevation analysis line (in red), with a chart showing elevation data at points along the line. Note the higher elevation of the armored shoreline on the neighboring property.
